2020-2021 SEED PCS Campus Update

Dear SEED DC Community:

I hope this message finds you healthy, well, and enjoying your summer. I am very excited to serve as the new Head of School. I have been part of the SEED community since 2013, primarily as the Director of Program Design at The SEED Foundation. Over the past seven years, I've had the opportunity to spend time on SEED DC's campus and to get to know some of the students and staff. I know first-hand that this is a special place, full of promise and potential. I am eager to begin our work together in the weeks ahead.

For the past several months, we have been busy developing our plans for the 2020-2021 school year. In the coming days, we will share our re-opening plans with you. The plans will outline our school schedule as well as the precautions that we will implement to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff members. We will share the re-opening plans with you via email and on the school's website, followed by a phone call from our team.

As we prepare for a school year unlike any that we've had before, you should know that our top priority is the health and safety of our students and staff. We will take every precaution we can to keep everyone safe. However, we also believe that it is important for young people to return to school. Schools provide students with essential developmental experiences that equip them with the intellectual, social, and emotional skills they need to thrive throughout their lives. Our goal is to create a re-opening plan with these two priorities front and center.

If you have questions or feedback about our re-opening plans, either before or after we share them, please reach out to Rashida Holman-Jones, the Director of Family and Community Engagement:  [email protected]

We look forward to partnering with you to make next school year a success.

Be Well,

Brian Rahaman
